Story

This is the latest film by Tsukasa Kishimoto who directed Ryujin Mabuyer, Halser Acre The Movie ACRES, The Man Who Changed Okinawa, and Kokoro, odoru. He continues to make films about his homeland of Okinawa.
Set in Shuri, the ancient capital of the Ryukyu Kingdom, the film depicts with a delicate touch the human condition of those who disappear and those who remain through Okinawa's oldest movie theater, the Shuri Theater, and the destroyed Shuri Castle.
The film stars Okinawan native Yoshito following his work in Amma and Kamito and is backed by a cast of Okinawan actors including Masahiro Aragaki, Misuzu Maeshiro, Yayoi Shiroma, Chigusa Yamauchi, and Shinya Aragaki.
An audition for the role of Sakura was held in order to foster the next generation of actors, which resulted in the debut of Tsukushi Horai. This long-awaited new work by director Tsukasa Kishimoto has made a new attempt to create an environment in which many students from Okinawa can perform.
