Story
This popular event that has become a regular feature of the film festival is back again, this time featuring 8mm footage of rare and nostalgic scenes of Okinawa shot by ordinary people from the 1950s to the 1970s, and comparing them with the present. This year's event is titled Kokusai Dori and will show you the unexpected appearance of Okinawa's largest shopping district.
The guides are Tsutomu Makiya of the Okinawa Archive Laboratory and Hayashi Toma of Cinema Lab.
